White Balance In Digital Photography
I am Chris Conklin on behalf of expertvillage.com. Another thing that you really need to be careful of that a lot of people overlook is the color balance or the white balance of your pictures. Now for a lot of cameras including the higher end ones like this they do have automatic preset functions. All you have to do is basically put it on the automatic and for the most part under normal conditions, the camera will automatically set the ISO, the aperture, the F/stop, the shutter speeds and it accommodates the lens with the filters that may be built into the camera and give you the best possible picture that you can. Now, that does not necessarily work in all conditions. Sometimes, you are going to have to switch it over to the manual mode and you are going to have the preset all those conditions based on the coloring that you do have or the lighting that is available in that room. As an example if you are in a big ballroom where the lights are dim and you have a DJ and there were all kinds of flashing lights or things like that. That is going to confuse the camera and it is not going to give you the best possible picture that you want. So, what you want to do is you want to set that on a manual setting and then adjust those settings that we talked about the aperture, the F/stop, the shutter speeds so and so forth manually and then play with them a little bit at a time until you get the look and the feel that you are actually looking for.
