STEVE ANTHONY: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Steve Anthony. I'm here in New York City. Today, I'm going to talk a little bit about some beginning guitar picking techniques. Let's talk a little bit about adding some color to your chords. As you start to learn your basic chords--your Ds and your Cs, your Gs and your As. As you're just improvising, having some fun with the guitar, you can experiment with dropping your fingers away from the neck and changing the attitude of the chord. As you become more experienced with the guitar, you'll find there are names for these chord variations that we're talking about. But for now, just think about it as improvising, adding color.
