STEVE ANTHONY: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Steve Anthony. I'm here in New York City. Today, I'm going to talk a little bit about some beginning guitar picking techniques. Let's talk a little bit about blues. Blues lends itself very well to flat picking and if you know--let's start with an E chord and we'll find our way through an E blues scale. It's all based on an E chord. And as you play the notes in the E chord and walk up to them E to A flat to A to B flat to B--that combined with your flat pick gives, a nice bluesy sound.
