Tuning a B String on a Guitar for Finger Picking

STEVE ANTHONY: On behalf of Expert Village, my name is Steve Anthony. I'm here in New York City. Today, I'm going to talk a little bit about some beginning guitar picking techniques. Tuning part two--we talked about the harmonic tuning; fifth fret, tap, seventh fret, tap, adjust. There's one exception to that rule on your guitar is that your second highest string, which is the B string. It doesn't work if you fret the prior string at the fifth fret. You have to drop down to the fourth fret. You can't really do that harmonically. If you do that, it doesn't work. So that's fourth fret to be in tune. And you can do it again on the two top strings, though it's a little trickier. I'm a little high on that one. They're coming to get me.
