ALEX BOYE: My name is Alex Boye, we're here on behalf of Expert Village, and we are talking about how to perform effectively on stage and not to suck. We were talking about what a "drama queen" is, and a drama queen is someone that just blows everything out of proportion. This is how your stage presence needs to be. Those are the people that sell more CDs in my own personal opinion. You got K.D. Langs that just--they're on a world of their own. What the heck?! But they sell crazy [SOUNDS LIKE] must sees because they don't care about themselves. So now, what I want you to do, and this might seem a little uncomfortable, I want you to do that last song. Okay? That last part of that song but I want you to act like you are a drama queen, alright? This doesn't have to be how you show has to be but I just want to experiment with something. So pretend you're a total drama queen and every single word, you're blowing it right out of proportion. Okay? Alright. Take it away, with your eyes, your ears, your mouth, everything. Alright? Let me see it. STERLING: [START SONG] I see what I saw! Oh, oh, oh. [END SONG] ALEX BOYE: Dude! He's getting a Standing O! Right?!? You feel me?!? He's getting a standing ovulation!--Ovulation?--Ovation! I'm telling you, man, because right--you know what he did? Because he blew it out of proportion, man. And people want--people when they're watching you, they want to see that. I don't know why. Don't ask me why. But they want to see it. They don't want to see things are boring. So when you sing that song, I want you to practice this at home, right? Take your favorite song and pretend you're a drama queen. You've see "Mean Girls?" Lindsay Lohan? I mean act like a total drama queen and sing your song. And keep trying it till it's comfortable with you and I guarantee you when you perform that on stage at your high school, a concert, for thousands of people, they will give you a standing ovation because you are giving them something they don't usually get. We'll see you on the other side.
