Guitar Solos with Good Stage Presence: Part 1

ALEX BOYE: Hi. My name is Alex Boye, I'm here for Expert Village, and we're going to talk to you about performing onstage and not sucking having stage presence. One of the ways I want to talk about now is performing if you are a guitarist, a singer-guitarist or singer-songwriter-guitarist or whatever. I want to talk to you about how to be more effective on stage. One of the worst things is when you have a guitarist that just sits with his guitar all the way through the dang show. Boring! That sucks! It doesn't matter how amazing the songs are. You've got to give them variety. So, I'm going to talk a little bit about that now. So you come up here. Alright, [PH] Mike, now let's take for example, I'm kinda putting you on a spot but I want you to--I want you, Mike, just to sing a song and just play, okay? Just sing a song and just play. Now, let's start at the beginning and then go into the first verse at least. MIKE: [START SONG] When I find myself in times of trouble.... [END SONG] ALEX BOYE: Okay, alright. Okay.
