Craps Game Terminology

Hi, I'm Joseph Hickerson, pit manager in a local casino and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to give the introduction on how to play casino style craps. In this clip, we're going to talk about some of the things you might hear at the crap table. Now that you've got your basics down and you're ready to go play, there's a few things you may and may not hear your first time around. Keep in mind that most of the things you hear are just nicknames given to the numbers that roll with the exception of one, Yo. The reason is that eleven and seven sound too much the same, especially in different dialects so therefore, the eleven has been given the name Yo at just about every crap table that you go to. Now like I said, with the exception of Yo, other numbers have been given nicknames. The two, snake eyes. The twelve, box cars. There are even nicknames given to other bets. Say you want to bet the two and the twelve which is the highest number, being the twelve and the lowest number, being the two, been given the nickname the high low. Say you want to bet the craps and an eleven. Majority of the times it's been given the nickname of C and E and your dealers will be able to let you know that. However, you go in betting something like a dollar box cars, be ready for the dealer to actually book it as a dollar twelve because a lot of time, they're not going to use those nicknames.
