Craps Game Positions

Hi, I'm Joseph Hickerson, pit manager in a local casino and on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to give the introduction on how to play casino style craps. In this clip, we're going to be discussing dice crew positions and player positions around the table. We'll start with the boxman. The boxman is generally seated in the center of the table and his job is to regulate the game. Immediately to his right and to his left are base dealers. A base dealer's job is to set up bets, press bets and generally control his layout for the players around his table. Keep in mind, dice layout is the same on the right and left so it doesn't matter which side you stand on. Then you come around to the stickman. Now the stickman will be standing right across from the boxman. The stickman's job is to call the dice, retrieve the dice and keep the pace of the game going. Now the players position can be immediately to the right or left of the stickman and going all the way around the table, right up to your base dealer on whatever side you're at. Now keep in mind, player position is very important because where you're standing at a crap table lets that base dealer know where to put your money on that layout, to let you and him keep control of your money.
