Shoulder Muscle Exercise for Triathlon Swimming

Hi my name is Carey Kepler, I’m a functional training coach. I coach triathletes and do triathlons myself. If you would like to improve your sports performance, improve the quality of your life or have questions about the following exercise please contact me at http://www.boundless-energy.com. This exercise is for your swimming – this exercise is going to strengthen your shoulder retractor muscles, back through the rear delt and all the shoulder girdle. This exercise is called the YTWL. You’ll actually perform this exercise prone, laying on your stomach on a bench. I’ll actually demonstrate it standing and then move to a bench. So you’re going to a Y you’re going to a T retracting the shoulder blades back, you’re going to a W to your L. Y T W L Y T W L Y T W L.
