Common Leaks Under Your Car

Hi, my name is Jake from Burt Brother Tires and on behalf of expertvillage.com we're going to answer a question for you; if you've ever had a leak under your car, should it be something that you should be concerned about? Okay, first of all if you have a leak that is any color other than clear, it maybe green or dark like an oil fluid and if it's coming from the engine compartment of the vehicle, the front end section of the car, definitely is something that you'd want to have looked at by a mechanic or a shop that does those kind of repairs. The last thing you'll want to be doing is loosing oil or precious antifreeze that will cause a lot of damage to your car if it ran low on. Okay? So the front of your car is up underneath the motor here, a lot of the new vehicles are covered with these skid plates, so it makes it very hard to know if you are leaking any fluid. But if it arrives on the floor of your garage or where you park your car, that's something you're going to want to pay special attention to. So especially if there's large fluids, big puddles that you're noticing, I would get it into your local garage to have that inspected. But if it's anything in the middle of the car, there's really not a lot of fluids that travel through here, but this is up under the car, you can see the exhaust system and the suspension components back here, fuel tank is around here. So you know if there's leaking in the back, there might be some other kind of components that could require some attention you definitely would want to have looked at.
