Learning to Count Money Using Worksheets

I'm throwing in all these different learning activities at once, but remember don't go to the next one as far as actually teaching your child until the one before it has been mastered. Sometimes that takes a few weeks. When you're teaching one on one, it really goes a lot faster and sometimes you'll find within 3 days, your child is bored with that lesson and is ready to move onto the next one. It's always good to go back every now and then and make sure that they haven't forgotten anything that you might of not done for a few months. But now we're going to go into dime counting and quarter counting just like we did the penny and the nickel, very easy. Now I'm starting off big. Of course don't even introduce this kind of count until they've mastered the penny and the nickel. Start off with maybe 3 dimes or whatever, but just to show you here; 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 1 dollar. Teach them to say 1 dollar instead of 100 as they're skip counting with money. 110, 120 and they write it in. Now with quarters, teach them to memorize a new kind of skip counting you may not do on a number grid. Which is skip counting by 25's. It's simply 25, 50, 75, and a dollar. Not a 100, a dollar. 25, 50, 75, a dollar. Once they memorize that it's easy. Then it repeats, $1.25, $1.50, $1.75, $2.00, so in this case of course it would 1.25 and that's it.
