Roman Ab Crunch Workout & Exercise for Beginners

I am Kirk Watt on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this clip we are going to be working on the Roman chair, also it is for the reverse crunch for the lower portion of the abdomen and the hip flexors. Most people hate this machine. I particularly like the machine because it works the lower abdomen so well. Couple of key points, make sure that you actually can fit in the machine, if you are too small a lot of times a machine will not work for you; make sure that you can at least get your elbows in the front position and pull onto the handle so you have some leverage to help you through the exercise. When you are ready to go, you can simply pull your feet off the stance, you are going to bring them together in front of you, you're going to pick up the knees, just like that, lift it up nice and smooth, let it down, do not fully extend the knees but try to bring them up to at least 90 degree angle just like that, nice and smooth, exhale as you pull them up, inhale as you take them down. That is pretty simple but if you are just starting this exercise will really do a number on your lower abs. It will feel great about two days later because you will know you worked on it and this is the reverse crunch or better known as the Roman chair.
