Setting Rollers With African American Hair
Hi! I am Liz Muller from Liz’s Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida. Now, I am going to proceed to show you a complete roller set or a roller set. Before I showed you how to roll the hair but with a wrap. Now we are going to use big rollers on Nicky to give her bounce and body and straighter hair and we are going to proceed to go ahead and put this roller like this size. You can get them a little bigger but I prefer this size right here for a big roller set. I am going to roll the hair, sectioning it off; I am going to show you another section, putting a clip on each side of the hair, making it nice and smooth. Make sure you comb that hair out real smooth. I added a styling product before so that you can make the hair nice and straight because we need that. And afterwards we are going to show you how to use something a little bit glossy for the hair to give it shine. But again I am roller setting the hair, putting it on that roller, making it nice and neat, rolling it straight down, using my fingers, bringing it close to the neck; so you want bring it nice and close so you can fit as many rollers as you can if they have a lot of hair on their head. Okay, just taking it straight across or straight to the side, you can place the rollers any which way you want or how the customer actually styles her hair and that is how you roll the set, the head hair.
