TINA STULL: Hi, I'm Tina Stull and I drive the Top Dragster for Interstate Batteries. On behalf of Expert Village, today, we're going to talk about the basics of racing. Also, there are times that they'll ask you to go to other events. You might go do a display, take your car, meet people, sign driver's cards, sign whatever they have to hand out, whatever your sponsor wants you to promote. It's the time, and because of that, because you're putting your personal name along with their product or with their company. You need to make sure that your ideals match theirs; that you're promoting something that you're comfortable promoting, something that you really believe in. Because if it's just about getting money, it's not going to be worth the effort. Also, they'll have you do everything from corporate stuff, if they host events or something and they feel that your car might be a draw. And that's really good for you because the more people that know your name and know what your--know about you and about your team and about what you're doing and about what you believe in, the more people that know that, the more valuable you are to a sponsor and therefore, the chances of getting additional funding is greatly increased. But it comes back to you, you need to track this, you need to make sure that they know at the end of the year what you've been able to do for them and--because that's what they're going to use the following year when they decide the dollar value to put on your scope.
