Buying a Used Car at an Auction

Hi, this is John Michaels with Expert Village; today we are going to be talking about how to buy a used car. In this segment we are going to talk about buying a used car at an auction. A lot of people feel that buying a used car from an auction will net them the best deal. That is not necessarily true, usually when you purchase a car at an auction you never have time to inspect it and that is a big problem because let’s be honest, there is a lot of folks out there that are not necessarily ethical and when they run their cars in an auction, you don’t know if that car has been damaged, you don’t know if it has mechanical problems, basically what I am saying to you is you don’t have enough time to make sure that, that car is in the beset running condition that it can be. So keep in mind, if you are going to try to buy a car in an auction, you may want to make sure that you have an opportunity to have that car checked out so that it is mechanically sound and that you have made a good purchase for your dollar, because no matter how much money you save, if you buy yourself a car that costs you a lot in service and maintenance you did not really get a good deal.
