We're going to replace with the low flow shower head and we're going to keep the water consumption level under 2.5. So that's how you do the test. Grab a bucket, put it under your shower, make sure you know where your gallon mark is at. Fill it up to one gallon and see how long it's going to take. Anything over 20 seconds, you should replace with a low flow shower head. I'd like to talk to you about the reason why you'll want to replace your shower head. A lot of the shower heads were made before 1992 wasn't running water efficiently; it consumed a lot of water. But other things you want to think about when replacing your shower head is what type of shower head you're going to get. Are you going to replace it with the same type that's affixed to the wall?
