Combing African American Hair After a Shampoo
Hi! I am Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida and we are speaking about hair that has been previously relaxed, textured or African-American hair and I am going to proceed to untangle Nicky’s hair before I show you that I can dry this hair in different ways and style it in different ways. I will be very careful untangling the hair, you do not want to get it too matted, when you are shampooing but when you do untangle it use a wide tooth comb like this that whirls around so you want to go ahead and untangle the hair nicely starting from the bottom, climbing all the way up. I am going to go ahead and do Nicky’s hair, under the dryer, but what you can do to dry this hair completely straight down is you can just completely comb it like this in sections and you can also take a dryer or blow dryer and you can take a brush and you can proceed to blow dry the hair, straight out. If you are going to use a dryer like this a blow dryer, just take it from the root on and push it out but I am going to put her underneath the dryer completely straight. I want to use the styling, foaming or pomade in the hair to keep it straight down.
