How to Set Up a Sound Board on Stage

DENIS DOWNING: On behalf of Expert Village, this is Denis Downing at Roxy Studios, New York City and today, I'm going to show you how to set up some band equipment. Okay. Now, this is a snake. And we plug everything that we just plugged in on stage into the snake, into a designated spot so that when we go to the board, we know exactly which mic is which because the board itself could be kinda complicated if you just look at it and you don't know where you're plugging stuff in. You'll like to know when you go there exactly what you're working with. Now, this runs into the board and all the numbers correspond to numbers on the board itself. We'll show you that in a minute. Okay? Now, once again, you could see how important it is to have these booms for these musicians because naturally, a straight stand wouldn't do that for him or her or the guitars.
