How to Set Up Microphone Stands on Stage
DENIS DOWNING: On behalf of Expert Village, this is Denis Downing at Roxy Studios, New York City and today, I'm going to show you how to set up some band equipment. Now, we're going to set up some mic stands. Okay. Here we go. We have straight stands, we have boom stands, okay? Everything has its purpose. I got a couple of more boom stands over here and for this particular setup, we will be using more booms than straights. The reason being, is more of the musicians need them. If we hired maybe four or five vocalists up front, maybe we'd have four or five straight stands. Now, we're going to hook up the microphone and as you could see, the keyboard player's going to need a boom if he's going to be comfortable back here, he or she. Here we go.
