Choose the Right Speaker Cables for You
DENIS DOWNING: On behalf of Expert Village, this is Denis Downing at Roxy Studios, New York City and today, I'm going to show you how to set up some band equipment. Alright, now that you know about the amps, we'll get into hooking it up properly. Okay. Here we have the speaker cord, sounds simple enough, plugging it in. But the speaker chord is very different from an instrument cord although they look identical and a lot of people don't realize that. A speaker cord is made up of two wires going through here individually and they're allowed for bleed off or extra power. Now, an instrument cord is shielded to block out noise. It has a completely different purpose. So, although they look the same, they're far different from each other. So, I'll tell you again, make sure it's a speaker cord back here.
