Choose the Right Guitar Cabinet for Your Guitar
DENIS DOWNING: On behalf of Expert Village, this is Denis Downing at Roxy Studios, New York City and today, I'm going to show you how to set up some band equipment. Now, if you are putting a backline to a club, you wouldn't need all of these stuff because you're working towards a different purpose. Basically, what you want to do is just get the basics of a backline and then the musicians would bring everything else that they would need, that they're most comfortable with. One thing you don't want to get in there is the guitar cabinets. You'd want them to be 8-ohm cabinets. The reason for that is 8 ohm cabinets are definitely more compatible with any type of head that somebody might bring. Mesa/Boogie has a great 8 ohm cabinet. Not to promote anyone but most other cabinets are 16 ohms or some of them are switchable. But I would suggest at least two or three 8 ohm cabinets for the guitars.
