Understanding how Homemade Omelets can Keep Your Dog Healthy
Hi! This is Elise McMahon for Expert Village.com and in this video series we are talking about making your own dog food. If you would like to find out more about my services, you can visit my website at canineheadstart.com. I have got my sautéed mushrooms here and my cheese. So I am going to add my egg mixture into the pan. The pan has been pre-heated; you can hear that sizzle. So I just put my egg mixture in to there and I am going to just sprinkle some cheese on top here. Cheese is great for dogs and they love it. Now we are going to take our mushrooms and we are going to put these in the omelet as well. We are just putting these on one half here so that I can fold it over. Okay. So I am going to bring this back to the stove and I am cooking that on a medium heat. You want to stay with it, I am not going to be there right now, but you want to stay with it, keep an eye on it and when the egg starts to cook through, then we are going to fold it over and I will show you that in a minute and so we have our omelet. This size omelet is good for two servings. If you have a medium size dog and what you could do would be to cut it in half and feed one half of the omelet for one meal and put the other half in the refrigerator and feed it out the next day. Even if you had a large dog because we put six eggs into here you probably would not want to feed the entire omelet out in one day. Let’s say you made an omelet this size or a little bit smaller and you had a small breed dog, again dividing it up and storing it means you do not actually have to be cooking and preparing food each day. You can make an omelet and feed it out over the course of a week.
