How to Move a Double-Spaced Piece in Basic Heroscape

MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike with Expert Village. And now, we're going to discuss moving a double space figure in the basic game of Heroscape. Now, a double space figure, usually a large figure, usually a single large figure, there are very rarely any groups of double-space figures or squads of double-space figures, and double space means it has one, two, or occupies two tiles spaces, as such. Now, here we have our Dumutef Guard and he has a move of 6. Now, when moving your character, you can either count from the lead foot or from the back foot. So, if you're counting from the back foot, it would be one, two, three, four, five, six spaces of movements. However, once again, we have to apply other rules when you are entering water. So, we can also use the front foot, that way you exactly know where he is going to land, and you'll count, one, two, three, four, five, and six. Now, when you count the six, you will choose the direction to stand or put him, which is very important for next set of moves. Once again, moving a double-space figure, you might either choose to count from the front foot or the back foot, but not both.
