Learn About Battlefields in Basic Heroscape

MIKE LOPEZ: Hi. I'm Mike with the Expert Village. And now that you know how to attach pieces, we're going to go over how you set up the battlefield. Now, what came along with your set, which also known as a "battlefield guide" or a "game guide", and what this guide does is essentially show you the scenario that you want to build the battlefield for. Now, you have an actual picture of what the battlefield will look like or represent in this square, and then step by step, it will tell you how to put them together. Level 1 signifies the bottom level of the battlefield. level 2 is the step above, level 3 and so on and so forth. Now, what you're also going to notice is once you are done building this battlefield, it will tell you about the basic game that you would be playing on this particular battlefield. The basic game, especially as we have been talking about this particular battlefield, is "Dive the Dark Lakes." This is a two-player game, so it'll take you and a friend to play in, and it gives you a little story that goes along with this game scenario. And what your goal is, is to secure the glyph of your opponent for yourself, which means you have to go collect the glyph and come back, which means you have to take your character across the board together with the glyph. There are many scenarios in this book and many different ways of building your battlefield.
