Mountain Bike Climbing Techniques

Hi, my name is Debbie, and I’ve been teaching beginner mountain biking informally for over 10 years. This clip will be about climbing. In general when you climb, you want to move your weight forward on the saddle, bend your elbows, and balance your weight front to back. The whole object is to keep your weight enough on your back wheel so it doesn’t spin, but the weight on your front wheel enough so you don’t do a high-ho-silver. Remember when you’re ascending, elbows bent and slide forward.
