Riff 1 for Playing Blues Guitar in A

I'd like to show you some Blues rhythms in the key of A now and over the course of one we'll be showing here we'll be covering A, D, and E. The difference between that and the key of E, would basically be one note. Would be instead of B we're going to be playing the D. In this first example, though, what I want to show you is a basic Blues riff in A. We're going to start on the fifth fret, make it an A5 chord. Basically, your first finger on the E string A note, the third finger on the seventh fret on the A string, which is D. What we're going to do here is go (demo). Basically, what I'm playing there is twice, once on that note which is F sharp, so I'm going (demo). Basically, what I'm doing is just shuffling back and forth going (demo). That's your first basic Blues rhythm played in A.
