JOEL SIEGEL: All right. So you should have been hearing the beats lining up. You have one and three, they're going to line up the same way with the hi-hat, and you have beat four which is going to line up the kick drum, the snare drum, and the hi-hat. Okay? So I want you to now play it along with me. We're at 80 bpm. Let's take a look. One, two, ready, play. So there you go: beats one, three, and four on the kick drum.
