First Lick of Phrase 4 of 'I Want to Sing That Rock & Roll'

So phrase four from David Rawlings guitar solo on Gillian Welch's I Want to Sing that Rock & Roll, goes like this. (playing) Once again we're dealing with a lot of open strings so the first lick of this phrase begins with we're fretting the D string on the sixth fret with our ring finger and we're fretting the B sting on the fourth fret with our index finger. We're leaving the G string open which we're going to be playing so it goes like this the first lick of phrase four. (playing guitar) Notice on how I have to change positions so basically all I'm doing is playing the same pattern and moving this in half steps, once again (playing guitar) one more time.
