So we're going to be working on the riffs and the solo from Weaser's "Say it Ain't So". The first riff from the song is a really cool riff in my opinion and probably yours as well, since you're learning it. I tuned the guitar down to a half step because I think that's what they we're doing to get their guitar sounds. The first riff from the song that we're going to learn comes in the first minute of the song and it goes like this. (playing guitar) The first lick of this riff check it out we're playing in the key of E flat even though it looks like a key of E because we're a half step down and we're sliding into this E flat major pentatonic and playing double stops. So this is the first lick of it's riffs so one more time (playing) a quick hammer on and we'll do it one more time. (playing guitar)
