Hi! I'm Mandy Butler on behalf of Expert Village and I'm going to talk to you today about cheerleading motions. Now I'm going to take you through the broken T. I'm going to start in a T position like I was in before. You can see that all it is is bending my elbows. Notice that when I did that, I didn't bring them too far in and I didn't hunch my shoulders forward. I stayed nice and tall and brought my arms in. Notice also that my fists are not touching each other. My shoulders are back just enough to allow for a little bit of space between the 2 fists. I like to tell my little ones that they're facing each other so they can talk to each other. That keeps the from rotating their wrists in awkward directions, and allows them to understand where their hands are supposed to be properly placed. This is a broken T. You're going to see in choreography a left broken T sometimes where you only do it with one arm. You might also see a right broken T. Again, when I put them both up, that's called a broken T. I take my T and I bend my elbows, and I've got a broken T.
