Tips for Playing the Tuba

Hi everybody, this is Kevin Smith, Mr. Tubalove, here and this part of my series is going to be about making music on the tuba and that's what this whole thing is all about. So, and it's going to involve different parts that include such things as breathing, posture and the instrument, what we call embouchure, or the lip and jaw movement, octaves and the science of sound, the valves and how they relate to the pitch. So, again just to have a sense of the music that we're making, and what kind of goes on behind the scenes.
