Hi I'm Bryan Billhimer and on behalf of Expert Village today I'm going to show you how to re-string and tune a guitar. Next thing I'm going to do is explain some of the terminology in parts of the guitar, this way you know what I'm talking about as I'm going through the process of re-stringing. First thing, the basic thing this whole part this piece of wood here, is called the body of the guitar. The wood that is attached to the body where you play, where you put your fingers down, this is the neck of the guitar. This part up here is called the head or headstock. This is your tail piece as you can see here this is where the strings attach. This is your bridge, the strings will also sit into these little plastic things right here, and they are called saddles. These are your pickups if it's an electric guitar that's what translates the sound. These are your frets; these metal things are your frets. These are your tuning pegs and this is called the nut. Your strings will sit in those grooves right there too.
