Cutting Tomatoes for a Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Hi, this is David for Expert Village and today we are going to make some stuffed mushrooms with ham and shrimp. So now I have a beautiful roma tomato and it is bright and red. I'm going to dice this up. So for our tomato, I'm going to take off the stem, just slice that right off you don't want to leave too much of this. We are also going to deseed this and that is really easy to do. I just cut it down. You can do this in water or whatever you want to do it but it is just really easy to just run your finger right down there. That is going to take all these seeds out, around the other side. Some people like to take this middle rib out, I don't. It seems to me that that would be really a waste. It is still flavor. Do the same thing to the other half. Just run your finger through until you get all the seeds and the pulp there. Then just go ahead and take your knife cut this into strands like that nice little slices. Then run your knife through here too; do the same with the other half.
