How to Add a New Login Password

Hi! I’m Ross. Thanks for coming to expertvillage.com, let’s begin. How do you add a password to your log in or change your log in password? Click on start, up to control panel, over to user accounts, then down here you’ll see user accounts and click that. Since I’m logged in as Tom, and Tom has administrator rights, I can see all the users and actually I can change the property on all the users. A limited account will not be able to do that. A limited account can only see its own parameters. I’m going to click on Tom. Now, this is what I can do with Tom’s account. I want to create a password. I’m going to call it Tom. They want me to type it again since you can’t see it, you want to make sure you have it right. Then I can put a password if I want. Pass phrase hint. I’m not going to put a pass phrase hint here. Create new password, click. This question here, do I want to make the data private, I click that yes. No one else will be able to see the data unless I give them rights to see it. I’m going to go ahead and say no. Tom’s password is now set up. Next time I will log in as tom, I’ll have to use the highly secured password of tom. That was lower case t-o-m, and it is case sensitive.
