How to Stimulate Hypnosis

Hi, I'm Carmen Lynne, and welcome to Expert Village. We are talking about hypnosis today. As you may recall in the last section, I explained that, what I am doing in the hypnotherapy session is I am actually inducing, in my client, the hypnotic state. How am I doing that? Well, partly, what I am doing is, I am significantly reducing the level of sensory stimuli that is coming into the client. For example, I am asking them to close their eyes. Also, I have them sit in the recliner chair and relax their body. The other thing that I am doing is, I am using specific audio stimuli which is a relaxing and a rhythmical type of noise. So, it is not only the sound of my voice, which is also very soothing and rhythmical, but I also use other sounds. I use the sound of ocean waves, which I have right here on the DVD and is very appropriate because we are here, right by the ocean.
