Starting a BBQ Pit Fire

Hi! I'm Mark Sullivan for Expert Village and today we are going to show you how to build a fire in your backyard barbecue pit. We are going to take this little piece of cotton that we started and then we are going to get our newspaper burning here. So we've got some cardboard here so we are just going to start putting more materials onto our fire and then get this kindling going and get some cardboard going and we are basically recycling some materials here. Okay so just building this and notice how the flame is catching the wood on fire because since we made it into a tee-pee shape, it's burning that one so keep adding kindling. I am going to keep adding some more cardboard so it looks like it is catching pretty good but I am just going to keep adding more of this and this is a very good way to recycle some old trash.
