How to Center Photos on a Wall

Hi, I am Bobby Hester on behalf of Expert Village. In this series, we're going to show you how to hang big pictures, small pictures and every size in between. We're going to show you how to use hangers and we're going to show you how to quickly and easily hang a picture just like a professional. In this clip, I want to show you how to center a picture within a certain space on a wall. Now I have this picture right here that I?m wanting to center and I want to make sure that the space on either side is the same. So, the first thing that I need to do is I need to measure the width of the space and that happens to be just 24 inches, so that's easy, it's 12 inches on either side. And so, I need to then look at my height and I want it somewhere around there. I?m not going to worry about measuring the floor, that looks fine to me, so we are going to go with that. If it was critical, we could go ahead and measure the floor, but right now we're more concerned about making sure that it's centered here. So, there's 24 inches, so I will mark 12. So, 12 inches away right there, I will mark and that's where I will drive my hanger. I?m going to get my hanger, put it right on the mark and put our picture on. And there we go, our pictures is on the wall and it's perfectly centered.
