How to Properly Change a Flat Tire

Hey I'm Jake from Burt Brother Tire and on behalf of expertvillage.com, we're going to show you how to properly change a flat tire. Okay, first of all you want to come on in here, we notice we got a flat tire here, so we want to come up here and remove this center cap. Okay, now most of the cars today will have a center cap like this or even a hub cap that covers the whole wheel and the lug nuts right here. We need to gain access to those lug nuts. So we remove the cap first of all, get the jack in position and we want to loosen the lug nuts cause once it's up in the air the tire will spin. Okay, so we just loosen them, we don't want to totally take them off right now. Then we're going to raise the vehicle up on a jack. That's how you loosen the lug nuts to start to remove the tire and in preparation to changing a flat. If they stick you might need a bigger bricker bar or to call a tow truck or something that is similar to an air tool or a bigger wrench to help you remove them. But with regular rotations and having the parts to come on and off should help your lug nuts come off easily to the car here.
