Hi! My name is Corey Beasley, owner of DNA Fitness. I am going to run you through a few movements utilizing a dumbbell to strengthen all the muscles that help your body twist. That is one of the basic movements your body does, twisting and rotating. It's also one of the most important for sports, in all sports whether you are throwing a punch or you are throwing a baseball, football, tennis racquet, or whatever you are doing, all the transformation power from your legs through your torso, you know whatever you're trying to throw ahead, the better that transfer of power the more stronger and more powerful you are going to be. You are going to start out, just grabbing that dumbbell, both hands on the dumbbell. Feet a little bit wider than shoulder width apart. You are going to do the basic squat and as you come up, your turning, arm straight, rotating around, coming down, coming up and rotate. So as you are going just rotate around. So it is a great way to strengthen you, all throughout of the big muscles that you are going to be utilizing in sport, also if you have you know other goals, awesome for other goals, as far as fat loss, weight loss or any of that stuff. The next one we are going to show feet apart. You are going to come down. Bring that dumbbell just the outside of your legs a kind of lunging towards that left side. As you come up you are shifting that weight over to your right leg and come up. Opposite way, down on the outside of the right leg, chest up and stomach tight. Driving off that right leg. Rotating around. Last thing we are doing on the floor siting here , sitting up tall, knees bent, both hands on that dumbbell. You can either hold it here or here, either way. All you are going to basically doing here is rotating side to side working those rotational muscles. Doing those three exercises unbelievable exercises that help really train, strengthen your hips, your rotational muscles, makes you a better athlete and get you towards those goals quicker.
