Car Racing Equipment

TINA STULL: Hi. I'm Tina Stull and I drive the Top Dragster for Interstate Batteries. On behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to talk about the basics of racing. So, you're ready to go to the track, what do you need to remember that's not so obvious? Obviously--it's pretty obvious, tools, car, trailer truck, whatever. Whatever you're going to get there. I think ahead of time; that if you need fuel for your generator that you bring that along. Also, when you come--take into consideration the weather. If you're going to be at a place that's going to be raining, chances are you're going to end up in the mud or out in the grassy areas. Always carry with you some large pieces of wood so you can put them underneath your--under your jack stands so that you don't end up by sinking down into the mud as it goes that way. That saved a lot of heartache on our part. If you do happen to get stuck, call the track. The track usually has some backhoe or a tractor or something to help pull you back out when it's time to leave. Also, bring a good supply of ice. Most of the time it's going to be hot and ice is cash, so stock up on that before you get there 'cause once you get parked, the chances of really getting out of there easily to go run, that's highly unlikely.
