Playing Exercise 1 Backwards for Beginning Guitar

BRYAN BILLHIMER: Hi. I'm Bryan Billhimer and on behalf of Expert Village, welcome to Guitar Playing 101, The Basics. Okay. Now, we're going to elaborate on exercise 1 a little bit. Now that you know how to do it, playing each note at one time and going from the top to the bottom, we're going to go from the bottom back to the top so you might get used to playing forward and backwards. So, we start right here with the last note we hit going forward with our pinky. Now, we're just going to go backwards; removing a finger for each note. You want to remember to fret the string right behind the fret. So, when you practice this exercise, you want to make sure you practice going forward and backwards.
