Guitar Lessons for Beginners

BRYAN BILLHIMER: Hi. I'm Bryan Billhimer and on behalf of Expert Village, welcome to Guitar Playing 101, The Basics. Hi. I'm Bryan Billhimer and I've been playing guitar for about 16 years, and I started when I was about 14 years old, just kinda playing around in my house and got a couple of bands. I played in three or four different bands. I went to college at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and I got a degree there in audio production and ever since then, I have been working in studios, tuning guitars and preparing guitars for other guitar players in studio sessions, and I've also been playing guitar with National Recording Artist Blessid Union of Souls for about the last seven years. And today we're going to be talking about, basically, guitar playing 101 and just going over kind of the basics of how to get started playing the guitar. So the first thing we're going to do is talk about a couple of things that you're going to need.
