Hi, I'm Vicki and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make a homemade dog bed for a medium size dog. In this clip I'm going to show you how to piece your material together so that you can tack it together before you sew it. When you set these two together, you want the material that you want on the outside on the inside so I want this to be on the outside of the dog bed so you're going to sew it on the inside for this step. You're going to sew three edges and then you'll turn it inside out. So we'll start by piecing it together as close as we can which I've already done and then you want to start tacking it together about an inch and a half in because when you sew it you're going to sew it right next to the needle. Space these apart just a little bit. We're going to do one edge at a time. To tack these two together you want to go straight down through both of them and then up and that will hold it together. So down through both materials and then up through the other side. Make sure you're getting both materials together and not anything extra that you might have laying on the table. And you go ahead and repeat this for all three sides, all the way down that side and the back.
