Hi, my name is David Fletcher, commander of United States Fugitive Apprehension. We are here today with Expert Village. If we are unable to bring that person in, the bail bonding company has to pay full percent of the bond which is $100,000. None of them want to do that; $100,000 is a lot of money. It's a lot easier to pay me $10,000 plus whatever expenses that may occur than what it is to write a check for $100,000. All payments are made by check because the bail bonding company has to have a record of where their money is going. Some of these fees are tax deductible and may be written off through the government and IRS purposes. In most cases, you will not be paid in cash. If you are paid in cash, make sure that you make a yourself a receipt because you need your personal protection at every turn whether it's from the bad guys or the IRS.
