How to Install a Wheel on a Car

Hi my name is Nate McCullough on behalf of Expert Village. In these clips we're going to talk about the proper way to remove and replace a front wheel drive vehicles valve joint. In this clip we're going to talk about the proper way to remount your vehicles wheel end tire assembly. We have to put this back on just to get it down to the tire store, but as you can see is that our wheel has been critically damaged, or our tire rather, has been critically damaged by that valve joint. We will replace this. Take and pick up your tire and slide it on the wheel studs. Right like so. I like to take and use my foot to hold it on, so I've got both hands free to run down my lug nuts. No particular order required when you?re just starting them. However, when your tightening them there is a torque sequence I will get into. Alrighty. I'm going to take my tire iron and run them down by hand. Just barely snug. It's a good idea to take and do the bottom one first you can see how it's centering up my tire for me. That's all the snugger you need to go. From there I'm going to go to the next farthest one away, right up here and then the next farthest one away is here. This is called a star pattern. You want to take and do this pattern to ensure that the wheel is tightened down centered. Alright and that is the proper way to mount your vehicles tire.
