The Difference Between Distilling & Filtering an Absinthe Recipe

Hi. My name is Allen for Expert Village. And today I'm going to discuss a controversial and banned alcohol commonly known as absinthe. The common way to make alcohol, is to use the distillation process. And since distilling your own alcohol here in the Unites States is illegal, which is much like what the moonshiners do. We don't want to break any laws. So what the company has done that provides this kit and some other kits is they have come up with another way to really achieve the same taste and same effects without having to distill or use any of those types of possibly hazardous, dangerous processes to achieve the same effect and pretty much the same final product that would occur if you were to distill it with your own alcohol. But it's a very, very long process and you don't really want to do it. Now what they've done is instead of distilling it which includes heating up the different alcohol, burning off the water content. It's a very, very long, tedious and could be dangerous process.
