How to do Dumbbell Lunge Press Exercises

Hi! My name is Corey Beasley, owner of DNA Fitness. I am going to walk you through a lunge combined with a press. Great movement for total body strength. It really gets your heart beating, so what we are going to do is, we are going to hold the dumbbells, again go with dumbbells that are light enough that they do not sacrifice form, but are still challenging at the same time. So we are going to start out, feet together, dumbbells up, chest up, stomach tight and you are going to take a big step forward and as you come up, the dumbbells come up. Back down. Alternating legs as you go, pressing up. I back down, press up. If you look at it from the side dumbbells are at your shoulders, chest up, stomach tight, coming down, pressing up, coming down, pressing up. One variation you can do here is instead of stepping forward you can always take a step back. So dumbbells are here, take a big step backwards instead of going forward, as you come up, the weights come up, right there. So a couple of great movements, working your shoulders, your arms, your torso, your legs and your hips. Hope you get strong from head to toe.
