I'm Ivan Madar. I'm a professional ski instructor and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. The next drill I will show you, we call it "edgy wedgie" and it's a movement where...or a skill where you really step on the outside edge of one ski and totally stay calm with your upper body. So, only your lower body is moving; your upper body stays very calm. It is a drill that is used at any level from beginning to advanced to racing. The drill you just saw emphasized tipping the ski on the edge of the ski. That's exactly what you do to turn a ski. At the same time you are turning your big toe in and stay on that ski. We emphasize quiet and disciplined upper body and all the movement is done from the lower body from your ankles and your knees.
