Now the fisherman's knot is a common classic knot. You can use it for everything from domestic applications to heavy industrial applications. If you need to attach two ropes together. So what I've got, is I've got my two ropes here. And I lay them on my table. And you can see that they're coming at each other from opposite angles. And what I?m going to do, is I?m just going to take this rope here, and tie it around, and create a simple overhand knot here. And with this length of rope, you can see it sliding right here. So what I will take is this and do the same, create a simple overhand knot. There we go. And when these two ropes slide together, they're going to slide together and they are going to catch. And these two knots are going to form together. Now you want to make sure that you've tied your knot right. So that both of these angles come off here at ninety degrees. One-eighty towards each other, but ninety degrees off of their main parts. So let?s do this one more time. Untie this here. And we'll have our two ropes coming in at opposite angels towards each other. And I'll just go ahead and create a simple overhand knot here on my blue side. And a simple overhand knot here on my red side. And as you can see both of these are coming off on opposite directions here, and as I pull them together. They will come together and form a nice tight knot.
