Now the Surgeon's Loop is a triple overhand knot with a loop in it. Now this is mostly used by anglers for a nice secure knot. And it is very strong for that extra loop in it. So what we'll do, is we'll go ahead and take our length of rope that I have here, we'll put it down here. And what I'll do is I'll pull a little bit more and I'll put a bite in it right here. And I will take it and I will make a loop, and I will twist it under once for the overhand knot with a loop. Twist it a second time for a double overhand with a loop. And one more time to create the Surgeon's Loop. There you see, this will try to get all frayed on you here, so you have to work it in just a little bit with your hands. There you see, it will make a nice thick knot. This is very secure, it will not come out. And like with the double overhand loop, you will have to cut this knot out, this knot will not easily untie out of your rope. So let?s do this one more time. Take our length of rope, we'll put a bite in it right here, and then my bite will become my working end. So I'll loop it over once. And then I'll tie it in once, twice. And one more time to create my surgeon's loop. And I'll work my knots in a little bit, make it look a little bit prettier, and there we go. Surgeons loop.
